Did you know that Bodie Ghost Town is the largest unrestored ghost town in the West? Bodie produced gold and silver from 1877 to 1888, and the town grew to 10,000 residents. Once notorious as the wildest town in the West with its saloons and gambling houses. The town is now preserved as a California State Historic Park with weathered buildings, a museum, mine tours, and a visitor center.

August 15th the Mammoth Wine Weekend is going virtual. The Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation has partnered with a number of wineries to bring you an amazing way to experience new wine varietals and wineries while still practicing social distancing. They are offering a variety wine packages that will fit your preference and budget. Packages will be available for pick-up on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 11am-6pm at the Village in Mammoth Lakes.

The Mammoth Film Festival begins this Thursday, February 27th and will continue through Monday, March 2nd. Mammoth Film Festival aims to lead the charge for an ever-changing landscape of film and media. This festival premiered in 2018 and specialized as an all media platform in celebrating varieties of filmmakers, actors, directors, writers, producers and their work.

Come cheer for your favorite hometown hockey team as they play in Mammoth Lakes at the annual Mammoth Lakes Outdoor Winter Classic Youth Hockey Tournament! This Friday, February 14th through Monday, February 17th at the Town of Mammoth Lakes Outdoor Ice Rink all of your favorites will compete for the Championship title. The tournament consists of three Round-Robin Pool games and an additional Championship game for top two teams, weather permitting. Join Woolly and his friends from the Ski and Snowboard School for music as they dance and parade through Village Plaza this Saturday, January 25th. This is a must-attend event for kids of all ages. The event takes place at Village Plaza starting at 3:45 PM with music, face painting, and complimentary cocoa.
