Bishop Ultras

The Bishop Ultras runs are this Saturday, May 20th with a variety of runs every skill level can enjoy. The 6K Really Fun Run is great for the whole family and gives kids and supporters something fun to do while waiting for their participant on some of the longer runs. The 20-mile fun run is great for those who want to take a slow stroll or jog through the scenic terrain of the Tungsten Hills. The 53K is a tough course for experienced runners with over 5,160’ of climbing terrain. The 50 Mile is slightly easier but still not an easy 50 with over 8,000’ of climbing and finally the 100K is for the pros that want to push the limits!

The Felici Piano Trio

Join the Felici Trio for an evening of music! “Comfort Food” music by Motzart, Paul Schoenfield, and Schubert, this Saturday, March 11th at the Cerro Coso Community College.

The Felici Trio is the musical home of Belgian pianist Steven Vanhauwaert German violinist Rebecca Hang and American cellist Brian Schuldt. Felici members are prize winners of the Los Angeles Liszt, Yellow Springs, and Osaka music competitions. This trio has performed over 350 concerts in Europe, South America, and the U.S. and has distinguished itself as a unique presence on the national music scene since coming to Mammoth Lakes.

Bishop Mule Days

The Mule Day celebration is back in Bishop, California this Tuesday, May 24th through Sunday, May 29th. For Memorial Day week each year for nearly fifty years tens of thousands of people from all over the world have descended on the Eastern Sierra community of Bishop, California for the fun, friendship and camaraderie discovered in celebrating the resilient, tough, hardworking and friendly animal we call the Mule.

Bishop Mule Days

The Greatest Mule Show on Earth is back on for 2021! Starting Tuesday, May 25th, enjoy 6 days of shows, contests, and exhibitors. Mule day has been a Bishop tradition since 1969 and continues to pack in the fun and excitement every year since. Over the six days of the event, there are 14 shows featuring over 700 mules with their trainers, riders and packers.

In excess of 30,000 fans converge on the Tri-County Fairgrounds and the Mike Boothe Arena to watch the events and visit the exhibitors. Visit the official event website for additional information and come celebrate the 51st year of the greatest Mule show on earth!

2019 Pamper Pedal

The 11th Annual Pamper Pedal is this Saturday, June 1st. The ride starts at Footloose Sports and ends at Bishop City Pool for a post-ride party. There are three rest stops along the 48-mile ride course to keep you fueled! Each rest stop will have a range of hydrating beverages and food.

This incredible event has an abundance of entertainment and activities. Highlights include catering by the famous Rolling Chef Food Truck from Bishop, CA at the Post Ride Party at the Bishop City Pool, incredible raffle items, Friday Night Wine & Cheese Social at Footloose Sports, and of course three fantastic on-course aid stations.

Are you supporting a rider? Friends and family are welcome to celebrate at the pool party. Entry to the private pool party is $10 and includes use of the pool and the changing/showers. You may purchase this ticket in advance via the registration platform, or on-site at Footloose Sports on Friday or at the pool!

Bishop Fall Highball Craggin ClassicCalling all climbers, the Bishop Fall Highball Craggin’ Classic is this weekend, November 3rd – 5th. Whether you’re looking to step up your climbing game or enjoy the opportunity to hang out with experienced pro climbers, this event has a little bit of something for everyone.

Take part in the climbing clinics hosted by local pros at Sierra Mountain Guides. You will have the chance to learn from many experienced pro climbers, including Carlo Traversi, Kate Rutherford, Doug Robinson, Josh Huckaby, Ben Rueck, Paul McSorley, Chelsea Rude, Libby Sauter, and Blake Harrington! The event also features a special presentation from big wall free-climbing master Kevin Jorgeson, Mountainfilm on Tour at the Bishop Twin Theatre, Mountain Rambler Brewery Downtown Throw-Down Climber Celebration Party, and more!

Finally, finish out the weekend with free breakfast from Black Sheep Coffee Roasters and take part in an opportunity to give back by signing up for an Eastside Stewardship Project. Check out the event website here for more details, registration, and ticket information.
