The Mammoth Gran Fondo is this Saturday, September 9th. Did you know that this race was chosen as a “top-ten-century” bike ride by Bicycling Magazine for the stunning views of the Sierra Nevada Range? The race offers options for a 102, 70, and 42-mile route. The routes travel along quiet and scenic roads with little to no traffic and 75 miles of the route is closed to through traffic.

Mammoth Lakes 4th of July Happenings

Looking for some fun on the 4^th? Then, you will want to check out Mammoth Lakes Arts on the 4^th this Saturday, July 1^st through Tuesday, July 4^th! The Mammoth Lakes Arts on the 4^th is the Mono Arts Council main fundraising event of the entire year and goes toward arts education programs benefiting all Mono County children. So be sure to check it out to support your local community. The festival features top-quality original art from national and regional artists, on-site food, non-stop live local music performances, and creative activities that draw 10,000 visitors and buyers from around the region. Don’t miss the annual Mammoth Lakes 4^th of July Parade with the parade route going through the arts festival. The parade starts at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 4^th and starts at the intersection of Chateau Road and Old Mammoth Road. Annual Pond Skim

Get ready for the most entertaining event you’ll see all season as you watch the craziest skiers and snowboarders’ straight line across an ice cold, 110-foot pond. The Pond Skim is this Sunday, April 16th from 8 AM to 5 PM. Be a spectator and watch amazing feats and fails as riders attempt to make it across. If you’re feeling brave, then be sure to register, show off your skills, and take a chance to skim your way across the pond.

Tickets to participate will be issued to the first 50 people in line at registration beginning at 8 AM so get there early to secure your spot. Only the first 50 competitors in costumes will get a coveted spot in the 2023 Skim. You MUST be in costume at registration to secure your place! The pond skim is open to those ages 18 and older only.

Mountain Freedom Camp

The Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra Operation Mountain Freedom camp is this back this Sunday, March 12th through Friday, March 17^th. This camp provides “An opportunity for military participants with disabilities to experience the exhilaration of adaptive snow sports including alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and more in a supportive mountain community.”

The Felici Piano Trio

Join the Felici Trio for an evening of music! “Comfort Food” music by Motzart, Paul Schoenfield, and Schubert, this Saturday, March 11^th at the Cerro Coso Community College.

The Felici Trio is the musical home of Belgian pianist Steven Vanhauwaert German violinist Rebecca Hang and American cellist Brian Schuldt. Felici members are prize winners of the Los Angeles Liszt, Yellow Springs, and Osaka music competitions. This trio has performed over 350 concerts in Europe, South America, and the U.S. and has distinguished itself as a unique presence on the national music scene since coming to Mammoth Lakes.

Mammoth Film Festival

The 2023 Mammoth Film Festival begins this Thursday, March 2^nd and will continue through Monday, March 6^th.
